About “CB”

Casey Bevacqua, M.A., CCC-SLP, is the “CB” behind CB Speech Therapy. She is a NJ-licensed, ASHA-certified speech-language pathologist with a deep passion for working with children and supporting their communication in meaningful, functional ways.

Before becoming an SLP, Casey spent a decade working with children, which shaped her lifelong commitment to the pediatric population. She is a proud graduate of Stockton University (B.S. in Health Science with a concentration in Communication Disorders and minors in Childhood Studies & Writing) and Kean University (M.A. in Speech-Language Pathology). She has served children from infancy through early adulthood across school-based settings, NJ Early Intervention, and outpatient clinics.

Casey’s clinical experience is diverse, including assessment and treatment for children with a wide range of communication needs and diagnoses including but not limited to Autism, ADHD, Down syndrome, genetic conditions, childhood apraxia of speech, and developmental speech and language disorders. She specializes in speech sound disorders, language delay & disorders, and augmentative & alternative communication (AAC). Supporting children in finding the communication methods that work best for them, whether verbal, via AAC, or a total communication approach, is at the heart of her work.

Casey is a firm believer that there is no “one-size-fits-all” approach to therapy. She practices through a neuroaffirming, strengths-based, child-led, and evidence-informed lens. She strongly believes in presuming competence and celebrates each child’s unique communication profile. She integrates best practices, family perspectives, and ongoing professional education to create individualized, meaningful therapy.

Above all, Casey believes in meeting children & their families exactly where they are and growing together from there.

Outside of providing speech-language services, Casey can usually be found avidly reading in a coffeeshop, enjoying live music, indoor cycling with a competitive edge, or cooking something new at home with her family.
